Wooyoung, a member of the group ATEEZ, will serve as the special first pitch guest for the game between the LG Twins and the Lotte Giants at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan on August 30.

An avid fan of the Lotte Giants, Wooyoung will return to the mound at Sajik Baseball Stadium for the first time in two years since 2024. He made his ceremonial first pitch debut at a 2024 game between the Lotte Giants and the Samsung Lions, where his perfect throw earned an enthusiastic response from fans and earned him the nickname 'Victory Fairy.'

He has also gained first pitch experience on the international stage. In March of this year, Wooyoung served as the first pitch guest for the '2026 World Baseball Classic' first-round game against Australia at Tokyo Dome, drawing attention from fans around the world. On that occasion, he showcased his love for baseball, demonstrating a moment of unity between the international sports stage and K-pop.

His group, ATEEZ, has recently been enjoying popularity not only in music but also in the sports world with the title track 'BAD' from their 12th... from their 14th mini album. In particular, the song's influence has been spreading, with baseball players even being captured dancing to 'BAD.'

Regarding the upcoming first pitch, Wooyoung said, "I'm truly happy and excited to be able to stand on the mound at Sajik Baseball Stadium once again. I will cheer enthusiastically to deliver good energy to the players."
