In the August Netizen Awards sports category poll for the pro baseball award, the Lotte Giants defended their lead, claiming first place for the eighth consecutive month.

In the month-long August vote, the Lotte Giants garnered a total of 1,712 votes for a 31.7% share. Steadily maintaining the 31.8% support they recorded in July, they have continued their firm hold on the top spot without yielding it even once since January of this year.

At the top of the standings, traditional powerhouses engaged in a fierce battle for second and third place. The KIA Tigers took 842 votes (15.6%) to hold onto second place following July, while the Samsung Lions secured 828 votes (15.3%)—just 14 votes behind—to settle in third.

The LG Twins received 568 votes, climbing one spot from fifth place in July to fourth with a double-digit share of 10.5%, and the Hanwha Eagles ranked fifth with 531 votes (9.8%), shaping the competition among the top ranks.

In the middle of the standings, fans' tightly contested voting continued in a battle of club pride. The Doosan Bears maintained sixth place with 303 votes (5.6%), and the SSG Landers took seventh with 228 votes (4.2%).

In the lower ranks, fans' votes of support for each club were tallied until the very end. The Kiwoom Heroes secured 163 votes (3.0%) to rise to eighth, and the KT Wiz recorded ninth with 150 votes (2.8%). The NC Dinos received a final tally of 83 votes (1.5%), finishing tenth and wrapping up the August pro baseball award voting.
