Hwang Young-woong's 'If One Truly Loves (Saranghandamyeon)' firmly held onto first place in the August Netizens' Awards singer category album voting.

In the race held throughout August, Hwang Young-woong garnered a total of 62,661 votes, recording a 28.1% support rate. After reaching the top in July with 'Oppaga Dorawatda (My Brother Is Back),' he maintained his lead with a new song as well.

■ Top tier sees shake-up with new album entries

The upper tier of the rankings saw a shake-up as new albums joined the race, with a fierce battle for the lead unfolding. Jang Han-byeol's 'USED TO THIS' received 35,058 votes, soaring to second place with a 15.7% share. Jang Han-byeol also remained in first place in the Neostar Award and Celebrity Award categories, proving his recently rising fan support.

Jung Seo-joo's 'Spring Flower Picnic Song' settled into third place with 27,028 votes (12.1%), while Byun Woo-seok's 'Parallel Lines' recorded fourth place with 21,407 votes (9.6%). Jang Min-ho's 'Just One, Just One' (14,139 votes, 6.3%) followed in fifth, and Son Tae-jin's 'Summer Memories' (11,108 votes, 5.0%) placed sixth, forming the leading group in the top tier.

■ Middle tier: crossover vs. trot in a close contest

In the middle of the rankings, a tight contest unfolded between crossover and trot albums. Libelante's 'Fly' kept seventh place, the same as in July, with 6,359 votes (2.9%), and Bin Ye-seo's 'Best Tarirang' ranked eighth with 6,157 votes (2.8%). Enox's 'Melt' rose from eleventh place in July to ninth with 4,959 votes (2.2%), and Min Soo-hyun's '空: [Gong]' recorded tenth place with 4,795 votes (2.2%), completing the top 10 lineup.

■ 11th-15th places decided by narrow vote margins

The battle of narrow margins continued in the lower-mid section. Jung Dong-won (JD1)'s 'You Are My Everything' placed eleventh with 4,527 votes (2.0%), and Park Chang-geun's 'The Days I've Waited' recorded twelfth with 3,917 votes (1.8%). Park Ji-hyun's 'Sad Monologue' came in thirteenth with 3,608 votes (1.6%), Fortena's 'Heartless Heart (Core 'Ngrato)' fourteenth with 3,207 votes (1.4%), and Yang Ji-eun's 'Sunset' settled into fifteenth with 3,127 votes (1.4%).

■ 16th-20th places: fan support until the very end

In the lower tier, fans' steady support for each artist's album was tallied until the very end. Song Ga-in's 'What If It's Not a Flower' rose to sixteenth with 2,834 votes (1.3%), and Maijin's 'Recall of Love' took seventeenth with 2,538 votes (1.1%). Kim Da-hyun's 'Good Shot!' placed eighteenth with 2,109 votes (0.9%), Cho Yong-pil's '20' nineteenth with 1,999 votes (0.9%), and Hong Isak's 'Castle In The Air' recorded twentieth with 1,478 votes (0.7%), bringing the August album award race to a close.
