Samsung Electronics firmly maintained its lead in the corporate grand prize voting for the Corporate Division of the 'August Netizen Awards,' where rankings are determined solely by netizen votes.

Samsung Electronics took the top spot with 1,214 votes, a 50.0% share. Securing exactly half of the total votes, the company demonstrated its solid influence as the strongest player in the corporate division. According to market research firm TrendForce, Samsung Electronics also maintained its No. 1 position in the eSSD market in the second quarter.

[Hyundai Motor and LG in Tight Mid-Teen Contest... Fierce Battle for 2nd Place]

A fierce competition for second place unfolded among major conglomerates at the top of the corporate grand prize rankings. Hyundai Motor defended second place with 407 votes (16.8%), while LG closely followed with 364 votes (15.0%). The two companies both recorded support rates in the mid-teens, forming a stable upper-rank competitive structure.

In the middle ranks, a close contest unfolded, with rankings decided by a margin of just four votes. Lotte placed 4th with 154 votes (6.3%), and Hanwha Ocean ranked 5th with 150 votes (6.2%), separated by a narrow margin. Shinsegae then settled into 6th place with 129 votes (5.3%), forming a line of 5% support rates.

In the lower ranks, votes of support from shareholders and consumers for each company were tallied until the very end. Hyundai Rotem rose to 7th with 3 votes (0.1%), while SK Group, Korea Electric Power Corporation, and Hyosung each gained 2 votes, sharing 8th place with tied vote rates of 0.1%, bringing the August corporate grand prize race to a close.
