Seo Eun-kwang of the group BTOB successfully completed his first stage in the musical 'Gwanghwamun Sonata' in the role of Wol-ha, the fate matchmaker.

Seo Eun-kwang took part in the first performance of the musical 'Gwanghwamun Sonata' held at the D-Cube Link Art Center in Seoul, receiving enthusiastic cheers and a standing ovation from the audience. He led the production with powerful vocals, commanding stage presence, and witty, energetic acting, delivering an impressive performance by rendering composer Lee Young-hoon's signature songs sweetly yet powerfully.

'Gwanghwamun Sonata' is a jukebox musical about Myeong-woo, who is facing the end of his life, spending his final moments at an exhibition hall of memories while looking back on his past with the mysterious fate matchmaker Wol-ha. Wol-ha is a memory master of unclear age, gender, and nationality, and this season Seo Eun-kwang was cast alongside Enoch and Cha Ji-yeon.

■ A Second Turn as Wol-ha, Acclaimed as 'Gwang-wol-ha' with Deeper Acting

This season marks Seo Eun-kwang's second time playing the role of Wol-ha. With deeper acting and more nuanced expression than the previous season, he maximized the character's charm. Having devoted great effort to character study, he earned the nickname 'Gwang-wol-ha' from audiences and praise that it was a role of a lifetime.

Seo Eun-kwang has previously played leading roles in various musicals, including 'Monte Cristo,' Arthur in 'Xcalibur,' Judas in 'Jesus Christ Superstar,' and D'Artagnan in 'The Three Musketeers,' and won the Newcomer of the Year award at the DIMF Musical Awards.

After completing his first performance, Seo Eun-kwang said, "As always, I prepared with my utmost effort and safely made it to today's first performance. I hope our affection and passion came through in today's show." He added, "In the performances ahead, I will live as Wol-ha, singing and dancing wholeheartedly on stage.
