SGC Energy has decided to invest 86.9 billion won to pursue the first-phase development of a hyperscale AI data center in Gunsan.

SGC Energy announced on the 11th that its board of directors resolved to contribute 86.9 billion won in cash to the 'SGC-KIS Private Investment Fund No. 1 (PEF).' The acquisition date, when the contribution is to be paid, is the 28th of this month.

The contribution is for the first 60MW phase of the AI data center project. The PEF has a total capital of 174.4 billion won, divided into 87.2 billion won in preferred shares and 87.2 billion won in common shares. In terms of financial scale, the acquisition amount equals 11.45% of the company's equity capital of 759.23708 billion won.
