ILLIT has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Japan's Oricon with 'It's Me,' the title track of their fourth mini album, continuing their steady popularity on global charts.
According to Oricon, 'It's Me' recorded 103,803,825 cumulative plays as of the 13th, following its release in April. On Oricon's 'Weekly Streaming Ranking,' the song exceeded 100 million cumulative streams, becoming ILLIT's third streaming song to reach the 100-million mark, following 'Magnetic' and 'Almond Chocolate.' Oricon noted that with two songs entering the 100-million-streaming record this year alone, ILLIT's competitiveness in Japan's music market has been proven.
'It's Me,' a techno-genre track attempted for the first time by the five-member girl group ILLIT—composed of Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha—drew attention with its exciting melody and energetic choreography. Even four months after its release, the song remains in the upper ranks of Japan's major music charts, including Oricon, Billboard Japan, and Line Music, competing with top local artists.
The song's performance on global charts is also notable. 'It's Me' entered the U.S. Billboard 'Global 200' and 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' charts for 18 consecutive weeks and ranked high on Apple Music's 'Today's Top 100: Global' chart. Its music video surpassed 100 million views in 79 days after release, achieving ILLIT's own fastest record, and was also listed on YouTube's global 'Daily Trending Music Videos' chart (as of September 13).
Meanwhile, ILLIT is set to make a comeback on October 26 with their fifth mini album 'BREAK EVEN.' The album title 'BREAK EVEN' refers to the break-even point and carries the message of no longer investing heart and time into a relationship that does not reciprocate one's efforts.
Oricon stated, "'It's Me' has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on the 'Weekly Streaming Ranking,' becoming ILLIT's third 100-million-streaming song, following 'Magnetic' and 'Almond Chocolate.'"
