The KOSDAQ failed to hold early gains and closed slightly lower. While Simtech and Linit Corporation showed strength, Alteogen and Eotech ended the day down.

KOSDAQ Closes Down 0.23% at 834.38... Rose to 847.10 Intraday

On the 22nd, the KOSDAQ index finished trading at 834.38, down 1.89 points (0.23%) from the previous session. The index opened at 846.14 and climbed as high as 847.10 intraday, but later gave up its gains and slipped to 831.13. The gap between the intraday high and low was 15.97 points.

Simtech Surges 12.39%... Linit and EcoPro Group Also Rise

The top 10 stocks by market capitalization showed mixed movements. In the regular session, Simtech closed at 146,900 won, up 16,200 won (12.39%) from the previous session. Linit Corporation also showed strength, rising 5,000 won (7.16%) to 74,800 won. EcoPro BM finished trading up 0.39% at 103,800 won, and EcoPro closed up 0.25% at 80,100 won.

Alteogen and Eotech Fall... HPSP and Wonik IPS Also Weak

In contrast, Alteogen closed down 2.55% at 248,500 won. Eotech fell 2.38% to 472,500 won, and Jusung Engineering dropped 1.46% to 202,500 won. HPSP declined 1.28%, while Wonik IPS and Rainbow Robotics fell 0.31% and 0.23%, respectively.

Despite a strong start early in the session, the KOSDAQ turned lower intraday and finished trading in the mid-830s. Attention is focused on how the market will move in the session on the 23rd, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
