Most domestic nuclear power-related stocks closed higher in the regular session on the 22nd, bringing a favorable wind to the overall nuclear power sector. Major stocks including Doosan Enerbility, KEPCO E&C, and Orbitech all showed strength together.

■ KEPCO E&C Surges 5.8%... Leading Gains in Nuclear Power Stocks As of the market close, KEPCO E&C finished at 137,200 won, up 5.8% from the previous day, marking the most notable gain among major nuclear power stocks. Orbitech closed up 5.5% at 5,880 won, and Kumwha PSC ended 1.9% higher at 34,650 won.

Doosan Enerbility, the leading nuclear power stock, closed 1.5% higher at 86,600 won. It maintained its strength during the session, drawing investors' attention, and Koscom market data confirmed it at 86,600 won as of that afternoon, up 1.52% from the previous day.

In addition, KEPCO KPS (46,800 won, 1.4%) and Wujin Entech (14,420 won, 1.4%) each rose 1.4%. Daechang Solution climbed 1.3% to 1,911 won, and Woosung Industrial rose 0.4% to 21,600 won. Woori Technology gained 0.2% to 13,430 won, while Korea Electric Power Corporation and Wujin each edged up 0.1% to 30,900 won and 14,570 won, respectively.

Meanwhile, Mobis fell 0.1% to 3,035 won, the only major nuclear power stock to close slightly lower.

■ KOSPI Rises Slightly, KOSDAQ Falls in Mixed Session The domestic stock market closed mixed. The KOSPI finished at 7,017.91, up 10.19 points (0.15%) from the previous trading day, while the KOSDAQ fell 1.89 points (0.23%) to 834.38.

■ Attention Turns to Sept. 23 Trading Ahead of Chuseok Holiday Attention is focused on how nuclear power stocks will move in the Sept. 23 session ahead of the Chuseok holiday. Whether they can sustain the day's upward momentum going into the holiday period will be key.
