Gangnam-gu in Seoul announced via an emergency alert text message at 12:46 p.m. on the 23rd that a large amount of smoke was being generated by a fire at Apartment Building 607 in the Suje Sixth Complex.

Through the message, the district urged residents of the Suje Sixth Complex to evacuate immediately outside the complex, and asked nearby residents to keep their windows closed.

If evacuation is possible, use the stairs instead of the elevator and move in a low crouching position.

If evacuation is difficult due to flames or smoke, move to a safe location such as an evacuation space, close the door, and block gaps with wet towels or similar items to prevent smoke from entering.
