[Woo Sang-hyeok's high jump final at 9.8%... Athletics takes top three spots]

The men's high jump final, broadcast on the 27th and featuring Woo Sang-hyeok, posted a nationwide rating of 9.8%, the highest of any event that day. Notably, the momentary rating surged to 14.2% between 9:22 p.m. and 9:23 p.m.

The women's 400m relay preliminaries (Kim Myeong-ji, Kim Seo-yun, Kim Ju-ha, Seo Ji-hyun) followed in second with 8.5%, and the men's 400m relay preliminaries (Kim Si-on, Joel Jin, Biwesa, Lee Jae-sung) took third with 7.5%, meaning athletics claimed all of the top three spots.

The women's handball pool stage final match, held at the Inazawa Entrio and broadcast exclusively live on KBS 1TV, recorded a 7.2% rating, ranking fourth. The match was called by commentator Yoo Hyun-ji and announcer Choi Seung-don.

The South Korean national team defeated Japan, reclaiming its position as Asia's strongest for the first time in three years. From the early stages of the match, veteran players such as Ryu Eun-hee, Kwon Han-na, and Kang Eun-hye, along with goalkeeper Park Sae-young, stood out.

Commentator Yoo Hyun-ji praised the players, saying, "At the most crucial moments, every single player is doing their role really well." As a fierce contest unfolded in the second half, she showed her emotions, saying, "The players have really been through so much anguish..."

The national team (Choi Se-bin, Jeon Ha-young, Seo Ji-yeon, Kim Jeong-mi) seized control early in the match and, even as Seo Ji-yeon suffered an injury, reached 45 points first to win the gold medal.

Commentator Kim Jun-ho assessed, "They are managing the match very well. They kept showing good form, so I believed they would do well." He added, "Today is the last day of fencing. Song Se-ra won a gold medal on the first day, and on the last day we won gold in the women's team sabre. Being able to finish the beginning and end with gold medals feels really good." He continued, "Many athletes have grown at these Asian Games. I have no doubt there will be even better results next time."

The men's epee team final ranked sixth with a 6.7% rating.
