On the morning of the 30th, Korean time, the three major indexes of the New York Stock Exchange all closed lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell in the 0.2% range, and the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 index and the Nasdaq Composite also declined slightly, with the market showing a consolidation trend without a clear direction.

Looking at the closing figures, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished trading at 51,349.92, down 131.59 points (0.26%) from the previous session. The S&P 500 index closed at 7,670.84, down 12.85 points (0.17%), and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite ended the session at 26,797.54, down 22.84 points (0.09%).

With all three indexes falling by less than 0.3%, the market showed a limited weak trend rather than a sharp correction. In particular, the Nasdaq's decline did not even reach 0.1%, suggesting that tech stocks were not broadly sold off but rather showed differentiated movements by individual stock.

With index levels recently elevated, the New York Stock Exchange continues to see moves aimed at gauging U.S. Treasury yields, economic indicators, and the Federal Reserve's (Fed) future monetary policy path. As investors seek confirmation of new upward momentum, buying and selling are balanced, keeping the fluctuation range of major indexes limited.

Going forward, key U.S. economic indicators, Treasury yield movements, and comments from Fed officials are cited as variables that could affect investor sentiment. The U.S.-Iran war situation is also cited as a variable. Although the major indexes fell in tandem, the declines were not large, so it is necessary to watch not only short-term index swings but also sector-specific trends such as tech stocks and cyclical stocks.
