Superconductor-related stocks were mostly weak in intraday trading on the Korean stock market on the 29th. With only a handful of stocks rising, Vitzrotech and Shinsung DeltaTech posted relatively steep declines, weighing on the overall trend of the theme.

■ Vitzrotech Falls 7.13%… Slips to 10,270 Won Intraday

As of the morning of the 29th, Vitzrotech was trading at 10,355 won, down 795 won (7.13%) from the previous session. The stock opened at 10,960 won and rose to as high as 10,970 won intraday, but later widened its losses and slipped to 10,270 won. Trading volume exceeded 430,000 shares.

Shinsung DeltaTech was also down 1,300 won (4.14%) at 30,100 won, with an intraday high of 31,400 won and a low of 29,750 won.

■ Other Related Stocks Also Mostly Lower

Ascendio was trading at 2,870 won (-2.55%) and Top Engineering at 2,705 won (-1.81%). Duksung fell 1.52% to 3,240 won, Seonam 1.31% to 3,005 won, Inzi Display 1.28% to 696 won, Powerlogics 1.28% to 3,090 won, and Koryo Steel 1.08% to 16,500 won. Mobis was down 0.81% at 3,055 won, Inzi Controls down 0.40% at 5,010 won, and Wonik PNE down 0.21% at 2,330 won.

■ A Few Stocks Turn Higher

In contrast, Amotech rose 0.47% to 19,150 won, while Hanyang ENG climbed 0.79% to 31,900 won. LS ELECTRIC fell 0.24% to 204,000 won, trading close to flat.

■ Stocks Showing Differentiation… Caution Urged in Interpreting Short-Term Swings

Judging from the intraday moves, rather than buying interest flowing into the entire superconductor theme, the stocks appear to be showing differentiation. In particular, the steep declines in Vitzrotech and Shinsung DeltaTech highlight the weakness of major related stocks.

However, it should be noted that the classification of superconductor-related stocks varies widely depending on actual business exposure or the degree of connection to superconducting technology. Some stocks have historically moved together simply because they were bundled into the related theme in past markets, rather than having direct superconductor businesses. Therefore, it is difficult to judge the overall direction of the superconductor industry based solely on the short-term swings of particular stocks.

Going forward, it is necessary to watch whether the trend is accompanied by verifiable catalysts, such as changes in trading volume, individual companies' business disclosures, and research and development announcements.
