South Korean HBM (High Bandwidth Memory)-related stocks rallied across the board in early trading on October 1, the first trading day of the month. Wonik Packer and DI led the gains.

As of 9:53 a.m. on October 1, Wonik Packer was trading at 3,840 won, up 26.52% from the previous session. DI also recorded a double-digit gain, rising 11.17% to 40,800 won.

Zeus climbed 8.27% to 14,010 won, while STI rose 6.74% to 24,550 won. IMT (+6.11%), YC (+5.89%), Femtron (+5.86%), Unitest (+5.62%), PSK Holdings (+5.26%), Mirae Semiconductor (+5.00%), and QLT (+4.95%) were also all higher.

Hanmi Semiconductor, regarded as a leading HBM stock, joined the rally, rising 5.95% to 261,500 won. MK Electron (+3.09%), Generasem (+2.87%), YCCHEM (+2.51%), OpenEdge Technology (+2.49%), Rayions (+2.63%), and Kemtros (+1.43%) also advanced.

Large-cap SK Hynix was little changed at the same time, trading at 1,777,000 won, up 0.06% from the previous session.

Upcoming issues surrounding next-generation memory, including HBM4, and AI infrastructure are being cited as key points of interest in the semiconductor market. Attention is focused on whether the early-session strength of HBM-related stocks will continue.
