Episode 21 of Studio C1's baseball entertainment program "Fireworks Baseball 2" will be released exclusively today (October 5) at 8 PM on the official YouTube channel.
In this episode, the Fireworks Fighters demonstrate the team's resilience amid successive crises as they attempt to break their losing streak against the college national team.
First, pitchers Song Seung-jun and Yoo Hee-kwan take the mound quickly to steady the team's atmosphere. As the two pitchers appear, cheers and sighs alternate in the stands, and the game remains tightly contested, filling the dugout with tension.
To overcome the crisis, manager Kim Sung-keun brought in the youngest pitcher, Choi Hyun-woo. When the inexperienced Choi Hyun-woo took the mound, the opposing bench stirred, and he attempted to turn the momentum around with confident pitching. At that moment, a matchup unfolds between the two young pitchers, including Hyun-bin, who left the Fighters to join the college national team.
Meanwhile, the Fighters failed to capitalize on scoring opportunities, and a gloomy atmosphere hung over the dugout. Then "Captain Potato" Mun Kyo-won stepped up to the plate, aiming to turn things around for the team. Mun carried out his assigned role, calmly waiting for the right timing before taking his decisive swing.
According to the production team, Lee Taek-geun threatened an extra-base hit with his signature chop swing that day, creating tension even in the opposing dugout. A member of the opposing team reacted, "At this rate, it might actually go over."
The college national team also delivered plenty of highlights. A player dubbed the "Sonic of College Baseball" showcased explosive baserunning, prompting Lee Dae-ho to marvel, "Wow... man, he's crazy fast."
