HLB group stocks were mostly strong in the morning session on the 8th. Nine of the group's ten listed stocks were rising, with HLB Biostep leading the gains with a surge in the 29% range. Only the parent stock, HLB, was slightly lower, showing a clear divergence in price movements among the individual stocks.
As of 10:51 a.m. on the 8th, HLB Biostep was trading at 6,315 won, up 1,455 won (29.9%) from the previous day, recording the highest gain within the group. HLB Global also rose 495 won (24.3%) to 2,525 won, posting a gain in the 20% range, while HLB Panacoin climbed 233 won (17.0%) to 1,598 won, showing double-digit strength.
The other affiliates were also mostly higher. HLB Genex was up 185 won (8.5%) at 2,360 won, and HLB Therapeutics rose 235 won (8.0%) to 3,165 won. HLB Life Science gained 230 won (5.4%) to 4,415 won, and HLB Peptido was up 250 won (5.0%) at 5,240 won. HLB Pharmaceutical joined the upward trend, rising 470 won (3.7%) to 13,040 won, and HLB Innovation also climbed 280 won (1.5%) to 18,260 won.
As of the morning on the day, the only declining stock was HLB. HLB was trading at 45,600 won, down 300 won (0.6%) from the previous day.
Recently, HLB group stocks have drawn investor attention with large swings across individual names. After HLB Pharmaceutical hit the daily limit high on the 6th, HLB Biostep rose to its price limit on the 7th, continuing the strength in some affiliates. However, it is notable that even as buying flows into group stocks overall, the gap in gains between individual stocks remains wide.
With the domestic stock market closed on the 9th for Hangeul Day, attention is focused on whether HLB group stocks can maintain their current upward momentum through the remainder of the session on the 8th, the last trading day of the week.
