Power cable-related stocks are showing clear divergence by individual names in the domestic stock market. LS Eco Energy stands out with a gain of more than 8%, while a number of other stocks, including Taihan Cable, Gaon Cable, and Iljin Electric, are declining.

As of 2:32 p.m. on the 8th, LS Eco Energy was trading at 74,700 won, up 5,700 won (8.26%) from the previous day, drawing market attention with the most prominent gain among power cable-related stocks that day.

The prices of the declining stocks are as follows.

  • Daewon Cable: down 300 won (-2.32%) from the previous day to 12,650 won
  • KBI Metal: down 150 won (-2.46%) to 5,950 won
  • Gaon Cable: down 9,000 won (-2.94%) to 297,500 won
  • LS: down 9,000 won (-3.21%) to 271,000 won
  • Taihan Cable: down 1,475 won (-4.95%) to 28,325 won
  • LS Marine Solutions: down 1,750 won (-5.16%) to 32,150 won
  • Iljin Electric: down 5,900 won (-6.70%) to 82,100 won

Notably, Iljin Electric shows a relatively large decline among power cable-related stocks. Even among stocks classified in the same power cable sector, there are differences in the direction of movement and the magnitude of fluctuation, and it is notable that LS Eco Energy's upward momentum is not spreading to other stocks.

Recently, the power cable industry has drawn market attention amid expectations for power infrastructure demand driven by global grid expansion and growing investment in artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. However, on this afternoon, related stocks are showing clear differentiation by name rather than moving in the same direction.

Meanwhile, with the domestic stock market closed on the 9th for Hangeul Day, attention is also focused on how power cable stocks will close out the remaining trading hours today. Whether LS Eco Energy will maintain its strength and whether declining stocks show signs of narrowing losses remain to be seen.
