KAIA has been listed on Upbit, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange. The token has shown strong gains immediately after listing, drawing significant market attention.
As of 6:46 p.m. on the 9th, KAIA was trading at 79.9 won on the Upbit KRW market, up 12.9 won, or 19.25%.

■ Born from the Integration of Kakao and LINE-affiliated Blockchains
KAIA is a blockchain project created through the integration of Klaytn, a Kakao-affiliated blockchain, and Finschia, a LINE-affiliated blockchain. It officially launched in August 2024, aiming to expand the Web3 ecosystem in Asia and popularize blockchain services.
Technically, the Kaia blockchain is a Layer 1 network compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), pursuing fast transaction processing and network stability based on its own consensus algorithm. The cryptocurrency KAIA is used for network fee payments, staking, and governance participation.
■ Whether It Breaks the 80-Won Level Is the Key Point to Watch
As KAIA has shown strong gains in the early stage of its listing, attention is also focused on its future price volatility. Newly listed cryptocurrencies can see prices move quickly depending on early buying pressure and selling volume, so short-term trends need to be monitored. In particular, whether KAIA breaks the 80-won level and whether it can maintain its initial gains are emerging as key points to watch going forward.
