HLB Bio Step will be designated as an investment warning stock on the 12th due to its recent sharp share price surge.

According to a disclosure by the Korea Exchange, the closing price of HLB Bio Step common stock on the 8th, following the advance notice of investment warning stock designation, rose more than 60% compared to the closing price five trading days earlier. This closing price was the highest among the closing prices of the recent 15 days, and the five-day stock price increase was more than five times the increase of the KOSPI over the same period.

The closing price on the 8th also rose more than 100% compared to the closing price 15 trading days earlier, marking the highest among the closing prices of the recent 15 days. The 15-day stock price increase was also more than three times the KOSPI increase over the same period, meeting the requirements for designation as an investment warning stock.

If the stock price rises more than 40% over two days after the designation date and exceeds the closing price on the day before designation, trading may be suspended on one occasion only.

The first judgment date on whether to lift the designation is scheduled for the 23rd. The Exchange will determine whether to lift the designation based on whether the closing price on the judgment date ▲rose more than 60% compared to five trading days earlier ▲rose more than 100% compared to 15 trading days earlier ▲is the highest among the closing prices of the recent 15 days. If none of these conditions apply, the designation will be lifted the following day. However, since the judgment on lifting the designation is made based on the trading days of the relevant stock, the first judgment date and related schedules may change if a trading suspension occurs.

When designated as an investment warning stock, investors must pay a 100% deposit margin when purchasing shares, and buying on margin through credit financing is restricted. The stock is also not recognized as collateral securities. If the stock price surges further, it may be designated as an investment risk stock, and on the day the investment warning designation is lifted, it will be designated as an investment caution stock.
