Episode 21 of the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Love Is On the Way' recorded a nationwide household rating of 17.0% (Nielsen Korea), ranking first among all weekend broadcasts.

The episode centered on the psychological battle between Kim Mu-jin (played by Ha Seok-jin) and Han Gyu-rim (played by Ahn Hee-yeon). Trying to distance herself from Kim Mu-jin, Han Gyu-rim transformed with bold changes, including leopard-print styling and outrageous behavior. She continued her so-called 'turn-off project' by demanding expensive clothes and pretending to sleep while snoring in the car, yet at home she was shown suffering under her blanket in shame.

Kim Mu-jin, on the other hand, remained unfazed by her changed attitude. He prepared breakfast himself and visited Han Gyu-rim's family home, consistently responding positively to her demands.

When a video of Han Gyu-rim was posted on a restaurant's bulletin board, her younger siblings were shocked. In particular, Han-gyeol (played by Yoon Ha-bin) showed signs of grasping his mother's true feelings.

The conflict between Han Gyu-young (played by Park Yu-na), the second child of the family, and her husband Kang Sung-wook (played by Go Yoon) also deepened. Han Gyu-young had refused to divorce despite her husband's affair, but was enraged by news of her rival's pregnancy, and the situation worsened when her mother-in-law exposed lies about her biological father. Her father-in-law Kang Sang-man (played by Park Yoon-hee) visited Jang Hun-tae to request business funds, heightening tensions.

Meanwhile, Kim Mu-jin's mother Hong Ok-seon (played by Jin Kyung), after growing apart from her friend Jang Hun-tae (played by Kwon Hae-hyo), spent time with Han Seok-jung (played by Ryu Seung-soo) and found new energy. Han Seok-jung treated Hong Ok-seon to new experiences, such as giving her a ride on his scooter, bringing liveliness to their friendship.

At the end of the episode, Han Gyu-rim dressed up at night in sunglasses, unique clothes, and boots, hinting at her hope that Kim Mu-jin would leave her. However, Kim Mu-jin appeared in a leather jacket and ripped jeans, choosing to confront the situation head-on. The contrast between the brightly smiling Kim Mu-jin and the flustered Han Gyu-rim heightened curiosity about the next episode.
