Channel A's educational survival program 'Teachers 3: Retake War' premieres on the 15th. Its centerpiece is a large-scale college entrance competition in which 100 retake students vie for a full university scholarship.
This season, prepared over four years, runs on a larger scale than before. Since the 2027 CSAT will be the last exam before college admissions reforms, this opportunity presents a special challenge for participants. On the program, the 100 retake students will compete through various missions, with only one final winner.
The first episode's teaser video shows a studio filled with 100 desks and heightened tension among the participants. The students could not hide their surprise at the scale of the competition, expressing their determination with comments such as "This is my last chance, so I think I can push myself to the limit" and "I will survive no matter what."
The video also introduced the participants' various personal stories, including a participant seeking to find the cause of their sister's brain lesion disorder, a retake student from a divorced family aiming for early independence, and a participant determined to study hard for their father.
The mentors, dubbed 'Teachvengers' — including Jung Seung-je, Yoo Dae-jong, and Kim Ji-young — empathized with the participants' stories and showed heartfelt reactions. Yoo Dae-jong was moved to tears by an emotional story, while Jung Seung-je said, "I have to check whether they've opened or closed their hearts, and that's the hardest part." He drew attention by asking one participant, "Are you going to throw it all away?" and declaring, "I want to change someone's life once."
Jeon Hyun-moo, Jang Young-ran, and Mimimenu will host the broadcast, guiding the fierce competition and unpredictable developments. 'Teachers 3: Retake War' premieres on Thursday, the 15th, at 10 p.m.
