SBS is presenting 'Rewriting the Equation of Success - Young-kkuk on the Way to Work' with Moon Se-yoon, Lee Sang-yeob, Lee Mi-joo, and So Seul-gi, re-examining the conventional success formula centered on academic pedigree.
The program is scheduled to air on October 18 and 25 at 10:55 a.m. on Sundays. It follows the process of third-year middle school students and their parents deciding on high school advancement, examining the current state of education and the criteria for choosing career paths suited to future society.
The Era of 'Samjeon-nix' and AI: A Shaken Formula for Success
The program focuses on changes in the education and economic sectors brought about by the 'Samjeon-nix' phenomenon and the advent of the AI era. 'Samjeon-nix' refers to the phenomenon that emerged when high school graduate employees at SK Hynix received annual performance bonuses worth hundreds of millions of won, prompting many workers, students, and parents to grapple with new concerns over career choices.
The social convention that a 'good university' and a 'four-year degree' guarantee a stable job and high salary is also being shaken. As high-tech industries grow, companies prefer technical talent equipped with practical skills, and 'neo blue-collar' occupations with expertise and technical capabilities in fields such as AI, semiconductors, secondary batteries, and smart manufacturing are emerging as new high-income job categories.
Moon Se-yoon, Lee Sang-yeob, Lee Mi-joo, and So Seul-gi: Each with Their Own Career Story
The MCs' backgrounds also draw attention. Moon Se-yoon, who has a third-year middle school daughter; Lee Mi-joo, a vocational high school graduate; Lee Sang-yeob, who transferred from a business administration major to theater and film studies; and So Seul-gi, a Sungkyunkwan University graduate, share stories about career paths and success based on their own experiences.
SBS stated that it will accompany third-year middle school students and their parents on their journey of career exploration, along with the question, 'What is the standard for success in the AI era?'
