MBN's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The Boss's Obvious Taste' will premiere on November 11 at 10:20 p.m. In this work, directed by Kang Sol, written by Nam Ji-yeon, and produced by Gardin Media and Artist Studio, actor Sung Hoon plays the lead role of Kwon Do-hyuk and has shown deep affection for the project.

At the center of the drama is the fake romance between chaebol boss Kwon Do-hyuk (Sung Hoon) and indie band vocalist Lee Eun-chae (Oh Se-young). Kwon Do-hyuk is a perfectionist who insists only on classical music and the CEO of OYes Entertainment. Having lived by judging everything according to his own principles, he faces changes in his daily life upon meeting the unpredictable Lee Eun-chae.

Sung Hoon said he pondered deeply over how to portray the character. He said, "I thought a lot about what kind of life someone with a lot of money and outstanding abilities would live," adding that while keeping the broad framework of the original web novel, he tried to stay faithful to the drama script while adding his own interpretation. Sung Hoon summarized Kwon Do-hyuk as 'socially avoidant,' 'self-objectifying,' and 'actually a sulking child,' emphasizing that he is a lonely character who is clumsy at expressing emotions and struggles to form relationships. He then asked viewers to "watch how Kwon Do-hyuk changes after meeting Lee Eun-chae."

As for why he took the role, he cited the connection built through past works and the script, saying, "It was a project there was no reason to turn down." Regarding the Kwon Do-hyuk character, he joked, "He's the kind of guy who would never starve anywhere he goes."

About his co-star Oh Se-young, he said, "She is a bright and positive actress, so I'm receiving good energy from her," noting that the atmosphere on set is good. Sung Hoon said, "I'm trying to understand and express Kwon Do-hyuk's thoughts and actions," and added that he hopes many people will watch the drama and "feel a warm and fluffy feeling."
