BTS's fifth full-length album 'ARIRANG' has surpassed 5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, the global audio and music streaming platform.
This is the highest play count among albums released worldwide in 2026. As of the 14th, 'ARIRANG' recorded about 2 billion more streams than second-place Olivia Rodrigo's third full-length album, and showed an overwhelming gap even compared to new releases by pop stars such as Bruno Mars and Harry Styles.
The track-by-track performance is also remarkable. All 14 tracks on the album have each exceeded 200 million plays, and the title track 'SWIM' is on the verge of reaching 1 billion streams. On its release date of March 20, the album swept first through 14th place on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart, recording 110 million plays in a single day.
The album also set a major record on the U.S. Billboard charts. 'ARIRANG' topped the 'Billboard 200' with the highest-ever ranking for a group album, and became the first group album since 2012 to hold the top spot for three consecutive weeks.
