Woowa Brothers has officially stated that the information lookup site related to the exposure of Baedal Minjok (Baemin) riders' personal data is "not a service provided or managed by Baemin."
Regarding the matter on the 15th, Woowa Brothers explained, "It appears the incident occurred on a site that a specific delivery agency created on its own to look up rider-related information." The site in question has since been shut down.
The company also emphasized, "This site is not a service provided or managed by Baedal Minjok, and the agency in question does not have a personal data delegation relationship with our company."
Earlier, according to Yonhap News Agency's reporting that day, a data folder containing the names and phone numbers of approximately 201 Baedal Minjok riders (based on combinations of rider IDs and names) was found to have been exposed externally without a login screen on a site believed to be operated by domestic delivery agency Company A.
