Wooriro (046970) overcame the previous session's weakness to stage a dramatic rebound on the 16th, surging more than 20% on the KOSDAQ market. Attention is now focused on whether the upward momentum can continue as the new week's trading begins after the weekend.

On the KOSDAQ on the 16th, Wooriro closed at 8,930 won, up 1,780 won (24.90%) from the previous trading day. The stock, which had shown weakness the day before, reversed course with a strong rally, closing in on the 9,000-won level. Notably, it went beyond merely recovering the prior day's sluggishness, posting a 20%-range gain in a single day.

However, with the stock's volatility having widened significantly in a short period, further confirmation is needed as to whether this rebound will translate into a sustained upward trend.

Meanwhile, Wooriro recently announced the signing of a supply contract for optical semiconductors for data centers. According to its regulatory filing on the 15th, the company signed a contract worth 22,777,776,000 won with China's Wuhan ETERN Optoelectronics Group Limited to supply optical semiconductors for data centers.

Key points to watch in the new trading week include whether the stock makes another push to break above the 9,000-won level, and the possibility of profit-taking sell orders emerging after the surge, which could amplify volatility.
