Girl group LIGHTSUM has unveiled a new digital single, a Korean reinterpretation of a Japanese original song.

LIGHTSUM released the digital single 'Eotteokhae (Doshite KR ver.)' at noon on the 22nd through major music streaming sites. The track is a Korean version of 'Doshite,' an original song released in Japan last month.

'Eotteokhae' honestly and cheerfully captures the bittersweet emotions of a sweet one-sided crush. The expression 'kyun,' which conveys fluttering feelings, combined with the addictive 'Eotteokhae' refrain, amplifies the song's lovable charm.

The music video, released simultaneously with the song, is in a self-cam format filmed directly by the members, creating a free-spirited and friendly atmosphere. In the video, the members gather in small groups, showing off playful choreography and hand gestures that bring smiles to viewers.

Notably, LIGHTSUM will perform 'Eotteokhae' for the first time on Mnet's 'M Countdown,' airing at 6 p.m. later that day. It will be the group's first music show stage as a full group in two years, drawing heightened anticipation.

Previously, LIGHTSUM made their local debut in Japan with the title track of their Japanese mini-album 'Re:idel,' achieving strong results by entering the Oricon chart and the YouTube Music chart. They then decided to release this Korean version for their domestic fans.

On the 25th, the group will hold a one-day cafe event to commemorate the release at the Cube Entertainment headquarters in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, where they will meet and communicate with fans directly.
