SM Gukil has been selected as the preferred bidder for the acquisition of Daejin Machinery Co., Ltd., which is currently undergoing rehabilitation proceedings.

SM Gukil announced this through a regulatory filing on the 22nd. The company participated in the competitive bidding for the acquisition of Daejin Machinery and was subsequently notified on that day that it had been selected as the preferred bidder.

The acquisition is currently at the preferred bidder selection stage. SM Gukil plans to proceed with negotiations on due diligence and acquisition terms, and to pursue the signing of a main contract in accordance with the relevant procedures. Before the final acquisition contract is signed, the company will go through a detailed due diligence process and acquisition price adjustment procedures.

SM Gukil explained that it plans to make disclosures in accordance with relevant laws and disclosure regulations once specific details, such as the signing of the main contract, are finalized.
