Singer Song Ga-in opened up on television about her family-like friendship with Ahn Sung-hoon, spanning 15 years.
On the episode of KBS2's 'New Product Launch Restaurant' aired on the 22nd, Song Ga-in was shown sharing a meal with Ahn Sung-hoon's parents. The VCR footage showed Ahn Sung-hoon's parents preparing food for the two, which surprised Song Ga-in. In particular, Ahn Sung-hoon's mother looked after Song Ga-in like her own daughter, showing deep affection, while his father called Song Ga-in "a benefactor, more than a daughter-in-law." In response, Song Ga-in drew laughter by saying, "I'm more than a daughter-in-law to you."
At the dinner table, the two bickered like real siblings. When Ahn Sung-hoon joked, "I don't treat you affectionately because I'm afraid you might fall for me," Song Ga-in shot back, "Don't be ridiculous!" They also exchanged playful banter over preparing a silkie chicken, revealing their long-standing closeness.
Song Ga-in recalled the past when she encouraged Ahn Sung-hoon to take on the challenge of becoming a singer again. "I knew he sang well, so it was such a shame he wasn't singing. Since he said even men do it, I told him to prepare," she said. She then shared her thoughts, saying, "I remembered how we struggled and suffered together as unknowns. It was a blessing that we both reached No. 1."
Ahn Sung-hoon expressed his gratitude, describing Song Ga-in as "a great presence who is my teacher, my benefactor, and like a parent."
They also did not forget their memories from their days as unknowns. Song Ga-in recalled sharing a single roll of gimbap together, saying, "I'm glad that now that things have gone well, I can eat such delicious food made by your mother." Hearing about the difficult circumstances of Ahn Sung-hoon's family, she also offered comfort, saying, "Even in such a hard situation, your son grew up well and kind without going down the wrong path."
Meanwhile, Song Ga-in, marking the 14th anniversary of her debut, is actively working in various fields including music activities, broadcasting, and performances.
