Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has delivered a series of positive developments to the XRP community, emphasizing that a new era is opening for XRP, the XRP Ledger (XRPL), and the stablecoin RLUSD. With growing interest from institutional investors and efforts to establish crypto-friendly regulations in the United States, attention is also focusing on XRP's future price movements.

According to cryptocurrency media outlet Coingape on the 28th (local time), CEO Garlinghouse recently introduced Ripple's key achievements and new partnerships via his X account, presenting an optimistic outlook.

■ Ripple Swell's 10th Anniversary Opens with Treasury Secretary Bessent

CEO Garlinghouse said, "We are kicking off the 10th anniversary of Ripple Swell with great energy," declaring that XRP and Ripple are entering a new era. "It was an honor to open the conference alongside U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent," he said, adding, "Secretary Bessent and the current administration's leadership have played a crucial role in creating an environment where a responsible crypto industry can grow in the United States."

According to Coingape, Secretary Bessent stated that even though the CLARITY Act, a digital asset market structure bill, fell through, the U.S. Treasury can work with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to advance crypto regulation. Speaking at the Ripple Swell conference, Bessent emphasized, "We are going to win in digital assets."

■ OCC Banking License... Door Opens for RLUSD Custody Services

Regulatory progress regarding Ripple's banking business is also drawing attention. According to Coingape, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) recently granted final approval to Ripple National Trust Bank. With this banking license, Ripple can now support RLUSD reserve management and provide digital asset custody services for institutional investors.

CEO Garlinghouse explained, "We have always said crypto and banking together produce better outcomes. This is exactly what that looks like - true innovation combined with accountability and federal oversight."

■ Robinhood and BNY Partnerships Strengthen Core Financial Infrastructure

Ripple is also strengthening partnerships with major financial companies such as Robinhood and BNY to expand institutional use of digital assets. According to Coingape, Ripple recently agreed to provide its financial infrastructure to Robinhood. The partnership covers not only customer-facing services but also core financial operations, specifically RLUSD payments using the XRP Ledger, prime brokerage, and corporate treasury management.

RLUSD is already used on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp, the exchange operated by Robinhood. Robinhood plans to use XRP Ledger-based RLUSD for inter-institutional settlements going forward.

The partnership with BNY is also expanding. According to Coingape, Ripple and BNY are broadening their collaboration in asset custody and tokenized trade finance utilizing RLUSD, XRP, and the XRP Ledger. As institutional blockchain use cases grow, BNY plans to expand its support for tokenized assets and investment products issued on the XRP Ledger.

■ RLUSD Receives Long-Term 'A2' and Short-Term 'P-1' Ratings from Moody's

News also emerged regarding RLUSD's credit rating. According to Coingape, international rating agency Moody's Ratings assigned RLUSD a long-term credit rating of A2 and a short-term rating of P-1. Notably, P-1 is the highest short-term rating available under Moody's newly established stablecoin assessment framework.

■ XRP Nears $1.35 on Ripple Swell Expectations... Matt Damon to Speak

As expectations for the Ripple Swell event grow, XRP's price has moved closer to $1.35. According to Coingape, the event will feature CEO Garlinghouse along with key figures from the crypto industry and traditional finance as speakers. Key topics will include AI agent-based finance, traditional finance's adoption of digital assets, asset tokenization, cross-border payments, decentralized finance (DeFi), and use cases for the XRP Ledger.

Hollywood actor Matt Damon is also scheduled to speak at Ripple Swell. He plans to discuss how the organization he is involved with uses Ripple Payments and the RLUSD stablecoin to speed up cross-border remittances related to clean water supply projects.

■ "If $1.25 Holds, $1.55 Is Next... A Breakout Could Open the Path to $2.10"

However, despite the string of positive news, XRP's price has shown no clear direction over the past few days. At the time of Coingape's report, XRP was trading at $1.33, with 24-hour trading volume up about 20%. Coingape analyzed that the volume increase reflects investor sentiment of buying on dips.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that while XRP's price is rebounding, $1.25 remains a critical level. According to Martinez's analysis cited by Coingape, an inverse head-and-shoulders bottom pattern is forming on XRP's daily chart, with the right shoulder likely to form near the $1.25 support level.

Martinez predicted that if XRP holds above $1.25, it could rise to the pattern's neckline at $1.55. He further analyzed that if the daily close exceeds $1.55, a bullish breakout signal would appear, opening the possibility of further gains toward $2.10.

Coingape reported that whether expanding institutional adoption and buying pressure can push XRP's price to $2 in the coming months has emerged as a key focus of interest.
