Doosan Enerbility announced on the 29th that it received verbal notification from Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) regarding the end of negotiations on the construction contract for the new nuclear power plant project in Dukovany, Czech Republic. However, the company stated that the previously signed supply contracts for reactor facilities and turbine generator facilities remain in effect as normal.

In a disclosure filed the same day to address rumors and media reports, Doosan Enerbility explained that it had indeed received verbal notification from KHNP that negotiations related to the construction contract, part of the new Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic, had ended. The company emphasized, however, that the matter concerns only the construction contract negotiations and is unrelated to the supply contracts for reactor facilities and turbine generator facilities signed with KHNP.

Equipment Supply Contract Maintained Without Amendment or Termination

According to the company, Doosan Enerbility signed supply contracts with KHNP on December 16 last year for reactor facilities and turbine generator facilities related to the new Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic. These equipment supply contracts are currently maintained as normal, with no amendments or terminations.

In addition, in accordance with the contracts, all work necessary for equipment supply, including design, procurement, and manufacturing preparation, is proceeding as planned. The company stated that no issues have been identified so far that would cause significant setbacks in contract performance.

Doosan Enerbility said the new Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic is being pursued through consultations among relevant agencies and partner companies, centered on KHNP, and that the company plans to faithfully fulfill its role to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
