Actors Lee Seo-jin and Han Ji-min, Kim Yong-gun and Park Jung-soo, and Monsta X's Joohyun and TWICE's Jungyeon are teaming up for the new tvN variety program 'Just Human Friends' (directed by Na Young-seok and Shin Gun-jun). Set to air in the fourth quarter, the program features male and female celebrity friends with long-standing relationships going on a trip together, sharing everyday conversations and candid talk, with PD Na Young-seok taking part in directing.

'Just Human Friends' is a program in which three pairs of male and female friends with long friendships in the entertainment industry look back on their relationships through travel and converse on a wide range of topics. The production team highlighted that the cast members' combined friendships span 85 years as a key feature of the show.

◆ Lee Seo-jin and Han Ji-min: A 20-year friendship formed through 'Yi San'

Lee Seo-jin and Han Ji-min formed their bond through the drama 'Yi San' and have maintained their friendship for about 20 years. The two are known for exchanging informal banter and jokes in everyday life. Lee Seo-jin teasing Han Ji-min and Han Ji-min responding in kind is cited as a representative element showing their closeness. Attention is focused on what conversations the two, who have watched over each other for many years, will have in the new setting of a trip.

◆ Kim Yong-gun and Park Jung-soo: Met in 1972, the longest friendship... Loyalty lasting over half a century

Kim Yong-gun and Park Jung-soo boast the longest friendship among the cast. The two first met in 1972 and have maintained their bond over many years. They stay in frequent contact and rely on each other, freely exchanging jokes and advice. As they have spent so many years together and know each other's personalities and lifestyles well, attention is also focused on the conversations they will share.

◆ Joohyun and Jungyeon: Debuted in 2015 as peers... Their first fixed variety program together

Monsta X's Joohyun and TWICE's Jungyeon debuted in the same year, 2015, and naturally built their friendship through their activities. The two can comfortably continue conversations even after long gaps without contact, but they reportedly feel somewhat awkward about talking in front of the camera just the two of them. Notably, this program is meaningful as their first fixed variety show appearance together.

◆ Not a 'getting-to-know-you' variety show but 'already close friends'... Differentiation from existing travel variety shows

'Just Human Friends' attempts to differentiate itself from existing travel variety programs by centering on long-standing friendships between men and women. Its characteristic is that it starts from relationships where the participants have already spent a long time together, rather than a process of getting to know each other. The jokes, memories of the past, and assessments of one another that naturally emerge between close friends are expected to be key viewing points.

Another notable aspect is that it offers a look at friendships across different generations. From actors who have maintained ties for nearly 20 years, to veteran actors with friendships spanning over half a century, to idol members who debuted in the music industry around the same time, a variety of relationships are packed into one program.
