Domestic nuclear power-related stocks broadly declined in trading on the 6th, closing out the week ahead of the weekend. With major stocks all finishing the session weak, attention is now focused on the market trend in the new week beginning on the 9th.

◆ Doosan Enerbility Plunges 8.41%... Nuclear Power Stocks Slide One After Another

In the market on the 6th, Doosan Enerbility closed at 45,150 won, down 8.41% from the previous day, recording the steepest decline among major nuclear power-related stocks.

Korea Plant Service & Engineering (KEPCO E&C) finished down 6.66% at 74,200 won, while Woojin fell 6.13% to 8,260 won. Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) closed down 3.03% at 30,400 won, and KEPCO KPS ended 2.49% lower at 41,100 won.

In addition, Woori Technology closed 3.82% lower at 7,800 won, Soosan Industries fell 1.79% to 18,640 won, and Geumhwa PSC ended down 1.70% at 28,750 won. Orbitech closed 3.15% lower at 3,065 won, and Mobis fell 0.59% to 2,520 won.

◆ New Week's Key Focus: 'Whether Stocks Can Rebound'... Attention on External Variables

With nuclear power-related stocks falling together, whether the market sentiment will shift after the weekend has emerged as a key point of interest. In particular, as the domestic stock market has recently been reacting sensitively to volatility in the U.S. New York stock market and global financial market trends, nuclear power stocks also need to watch for the impact of external variables.

In the United States, with the Democratic Party securing majorities in both the Senate and the House, attention is focused on how policy stances surrounding the nuclear power industry and related industry movements will unfold. However, the actual impact of these political changes on the nuclear power industry will need to be confirmed through future policy announcements and specific business developments.

In the new week starting on the 9th, attention is on whether major nuclear power stocks such as Doosan Enerbility and KEPCO E&C will attempt a rebound. However, given the highly volatile market conditions recently, excessive optimism or pessimism should be avoided. As nuclear power stocks all showed weakness to close out the week's trading, the key concern for the new week is whether they can break the downward trend and turn the mood around.
