1. One of the Five Great Mountains of Honam, Cheongwansan Mountain Cheongwansan Mountain (elevation 723m), located on the border of Gwansan-eup and Daedeok-eup in Jangheung-gun, is selected as one of the 100 Great Mountains and one of the Five Great Mountains of Honam. It was designated as a provincial park in 1988 and as Scenic Site No. 119 in 2021. Reaching the summit, one can take in a single glance of Wolchulsan, Jeamsan, and Mudeungsan Mountains, as well as the archipelago of the southern coast.

The Fundamental Monastery of the Gajisan Sect, Borimsa Temple Borimsa Temple, a branch temple of Songgwangsa, the main temple of the 21st parish of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, was founded around 860 by Zen Master Bojo at the recommendation of King Heonan of Silla. Originating from a hermitage established by Wonpyo, this temple is called one of the 'Three Borims' along with Borimsa Temples in India and China, and served as the fundamental monastery of the Gajisan sect.
