Gyeongju is an ancient capital that preserves a thousand years of Silla history. Bordering the East Sea, it boasts beautiful natural landscapes, and with tombs, temples, and historic sites scattered throughout the city, it exudes a unique atmosphere where the past and present coexist harmoniously. If you are planning a leisurely trip to Gyeongju, explore its quiet and charming attractions.

Gwaseongsolbat Beach (Suryeom-ri, Yangnam-myeon) Gwaseongsolbat Beach, located at the southernmost point among the five beaches of Gyeongju, is situated in Suryeom-ri, Yangnam-myeon. Thanks to the breakwaters on both sides, the waves are not high, making it a good place to safely enjoy water play in the clear, blue sea. The dense pine forest and long stretch of white sand beach blend together to create a beautiful landscape, offering a place to rest quietly away from the hustle and bustle. In the nearby Sindae-ri, Yangnam-myeon, there is a golf course where you can enjoy both marine leisure activities and golf, and it is also famous as a coastal road driving course leading toward Ulsan.

Tomb of General Kim Yu-sin (Chunghyo-dong) The Tomb of General Kim Yu-sin, located in Chunghyo-dong, is the grave of General Kim Yu-sin, the hero of the unification of Silla. The surroundings are neatly maintained, making it suitable for walking in a quiet and pleasant environment. Many visitors spend meaningful time reflecting on the footsteps of a great historical figure with their children in a serene atmosphere.

Hwangnyongsa History and Culture Museum (Guwang-dong) The Hwangnyongsa History and Culture Museum, built in Guwang-dong, is located right next to the Hwangnyongsa Temple Site, offering a meaningful space to reflect upon the status of the Silla's state-protecting temple. This place widely shares the research and excavation survey results of the Hwangnyongsa Temple Site, and exhibits replicated artifacts and reconstructed ruins so visitors can vividly experience the grandeur of Hwangnyongsa. Inside, there is a 3D audiovisual room showing the process from the construction to the burning down of Hwangnyongsa, as well as a Silla History Exhibition Room displaying excavated artifacts. In particular, on the 1st floor, a 1/10 scale model of the nine-story wooden pagoda of Hwangnyongsa is on display, conveying its magnificence, and at the lobby cafe, you can enjoy a coffee while looking out at the Hwangnyongsa Temple Site through the window.

East Stone Wall Path of Daereungwon (Hwangnam-dong) The East Stone Wall Path of Daereungwon, spread across Hwangnam-dong, stretches for about 600 meters. The stone walls and ancient tombs harmonize to form a scenic walking trail, and it is a representative attraction in Gyeongju widely known for its beautiful cherry blossom tunnel, especially in spring. Just walking is enough to fully appreciate the harmonious scenery of the tombs and stone walls.
