With dimensions of 483m in length, 5m in width, and 3.5m in height, it was completed by blocking both sides of the sea, pouring concrete to form the tunnel, and then removing the breakwaters. At the entrance of the tunnel, the Chinese characters 'Yongmundalyang' are inscribed, meaning 'passing through the dragon gate to reach Mireukdo'.
