Vitalik Buterin has expressed his agreement with the radical 'AI nationalization' bill introduced by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.

Senator Sanders recently argued that leading AI companies such as OpenAI and xAI have accumulated wealth by unlawfully training on humanity's shared knowledge, and that 50% of corporate shares should be levied as a one-time stock tax and allocated to a federal sovereign wealth fund.

Sympathizing with this argument, Buterin pointed out that frontier AI companies, which championed 'humanity's contribution' in the 2010s, have been monopolizing power in the 2020s using 'China' as an excuse. He criticized these companies for hiding behind national security and nationalism to secure their monopolies.
