The buying price of pure gold dropped by 2,000 won, and platinum declined in both buying and selling prices. Recently, gold has recorded its largest quarterly decline in 13 years, drawing keen market attention.

■ Pure Gold (24K · 3.75g) The buying price stood at 900,000 won, down 0.22% (2,000 won) from the previous trading day. The selling price remained unchanged at 752,000 won.

■ Gold Records Largest Quarterly Decline in 13 Years… U.S. Labor Market as Key Variable Gold has recently recorded its largest quarterly decline in 13 years, drawing market attention. The key variable that will determine the future trend is the U.S. labor market. The recently announced U.S. unemployment rate for June came in at 4.2%, and non-farm sector employment increased by only 57,000 compared to the previous month. Attention is focused on how the weak employment figures will influence future base interest rate decisions.

Market attention is closely focused on what direction gold prices will take in the new trading week following the weekend.
