Girl group izna has partnered with a Sony Music label to officially launch their advance into the Japanese music market.
Wakeone's izna (Mai, Bang Jimin, Coco, Yoo Sarang, Choi Jeongeun, and Jung Sebi) will release their first Japanese mini-album, 'HANDLE WITH CARE,' on September 2, marking their official debut in the region. Following ZEROBASEONE, they are the next Wakeone artists to launch a full-scale push into the Japanese market.
Even before their official debut, the group has garnered enthusiastic responses locally, proving their solid popularity. Last August, izna performed at Japan's largest music festival, 'Summer Sonic 2025,' demonstrating their overwhelming performance capabilities. They also made their presence known by being selected to sing 'Love All,' the TV commercial song for a famous Japanese beverage brand.
Their music has also achieved commercial success, earning recognition for their talent. The Japanese-language track 'BEEP (Japan Edition)' ranked high on major local charts, including iTunes and AWA. In January of this year, their first Japanese fan concert, 'izna 1st FAN-CON [Not Just Pretty] In Japan,' was completely sold out, a massive success. They also launched their first original variety show through the local platform ABEMA.
In addition, they have been actively expanding their presence across various fields, including photo shoots with famous magazines such as ViVi and ELLEgirl, as well as appearances on NHK Radio.
With their Japanese debut approaching, izna expressed their gratitude to their fandom, naya, and shared their ambition to release an album filled with their unique charm. Notably, izna, who recently released their third Korean mini-album, 'SET THE TEMPO,' and achieved global success, plans to further accelerate their global activities using this Japanese expansion as a stepping stone.
Meanwhile, detailed information about izna's Japanese debut album, 'HANDLE WITH CARE,' will be revealed sequentially at a later date.
