KBS 2TV's new daily drama 'Trap of Desire' has released the first stills of lead actress Jeon Hye-won ahead of its premiere on August 10.

'Trap of Desire' is a fate-restoration revenge drama that depicts the journey of a woman whose life is completely upended after being falsely accused of murder, as she confronts immense desire to reclaim her life. Directors Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-soo are at the helm, with writer Gu Ji-won penning the script. It is co-produced by Studio Bom and Monster Union. Director Lee Dae-kyung previously worked on 'Youth of May' and 'Drama Special 2023 – Shadow Confession,' while writer Gu Ji-won is known for 'Cheer Up, My Life' and 'Summer, Please.' Additionally, actress Jang Seo-hee's return to KBS after 12 years has been generating buzz.

The released stills feature the past and present of Go Eun-seol, played by Jeon Hye-won, in alternating scenes. Go Eun-seol grew up surrounded by the love of her adoptive parents but lost her ordinary life after being falsely accused of murder. She is a character who fights to uncover the truth against an unjust fate. Her girlhood days, where she showed enough talent to win an art competition, form a stark contrast with her present self in a prison uniform, drawing particular attention.

Jeon Hye-won takes on her first lead role with this project. She portrays Go Eun-seol, a character who leaves behind a past filled with dreams and love to confront a massive secret. The production team stated that Jeon Hye-won is deeply expressing the desperation and will to survive as Go Eun-seol navigates between the past and present to rebuild her shattered life.

The production team said, "Go Eun-seol is a character who fights to the end to reclaim her life, even in the face of a massive truth and desire," adding, "Actress Jeon Hye-won portrays the emotional changes delicately, which will deliver deep immersion and lasting impressions to viewers." They continued, "Even through the stills alone, Go Eun-seol's dramatic circumstances and emotional arc are naturally revealed," and added, "From the very first shoot, actress Jeon Hye-won fully immersed herself in the character, balancing the innocence of the past with the wounds of the present. Please look forward to her future performances."

'Trap of Desire' will premiere on August 10 at 7:50 p.m., following 'Red Pearl.'
