KBS 2TV's new daily drama 'Trap of Desire' is set to premiere on August 10 at 7:50 PM. This production has been generating significant buzz as actress Jang Seo-hee stars in the role of Joo Mi-ran, marking her return to KBS drama after a full 12 years.

'Trap of Desire' is a suspenseful revenge drama about a woman who, after losing everything after being falsely accused of murder, fights against overwhelming desire to reclaim her destiny. The drama is directed by Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-soo, with the screenplay written by writer Koo Ji-won. It is co-produced by Studio Bom and Monster Union.

The creative team's filmography and writing prowess also raise expectations. Director Lee Dae-kyung previously directed 'Youth of May' and 'Drama Special 2023 - Shadow Confession,' while writer Koo Ji-won has penned daily dramas renowned for their quality, including 'Eurachacha My Life' and 'Summer, Please.'

In the drama, Jang Seo-hee's character Joo Mi-ran is a former public relations director at the Cheongma Scholarship Foundation who now works as a nanny. She is a character who will stop at nothing to steal others' lives and fulfill her own desires. While she appears warm and devoted on the outside, she conceals a deadly secret and ambition within, even framing someone for murder.

In the first still cuts released on the 8th, Joo Mi-ran's elegant appearance and the chilling nature hidden beneath it intertwined, captivating viewers' attention.

Regarding Jang Seo-hee's performance, the production team stated, "Actress Jang Seo-hee completely immersed herself in the role of Joo Mi-ran from the very first shoot, overwhelming the set," adding, "Even the first stills alone will convey Joo Mi-ran's chilling charisma and hidden desire." They continued, "Joo Mi-ran is not a simple villain but a character who embodies desire, obsession, and human nature," previewing Jang Seo-hee's intense presence that will heighten the drama's tension.

Meanwhile, 'Trap of Desire' will air as the follow-up to 'Red Pearl."
