KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday mini-series 'The Completion of Marriage' is showing unstoppable upward momentum.
The fourth episode of 'The Completion of Marriage,' which aired recently, recorded a peak per-minute rating of 8.5% and a nationwide rating of 7.2%, renewing its own highest ratings while taking first place in its time slot.
In this episode, the dangerous alliance between Kang Tae-ju (played by Namkoong Min) and Lee Soo-hyung (played by Park Byung-eun) began in earnest. After successfully escaping police pursuit, Kang Tae-ju seized a firearm and teamed up with Lee Soo-hyung to carry out an operation to rescue Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol).
In particular, after a car collision with a police vehicle, Kang Tae-ju changed clothes and fled, but along the way, he provided first aid to an injured detective and called 119, showing that he never forgot his duty as a doctor. Later, upon discovering his own photo at Lee Soo-hyung's detective agency, a confused Kang Tae-ju held Lee at gunpoint, demanding to know his wife's whereabouts.
During this encounter, Lee Soo-hyung opened up about his own past, revealing that his wife was kidnapped and murdered six years ago. Convinced that Kang Tae-ju's case and the crimes of Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung) were the work of the same perpetrator, he heightened the tension by saying, "Your wife is still alive. There isn't much time left."
Accordingly, the two men embarked on a dangerous partnership to apprehend Noh Man-hee. Kang Tae-ju posed as the kidnapper, putting on an act to demand 3 billion won from his in-laws, and then disguised himself as a police officer to infiltrate the National Forensic Service and secure surveillance camera evidence. The episode concluded with Noh Man-hee belatedly discovering Kang Tae-ju's intrusion and the two coming face-to-face through a monitor screen, foreshadowing a breathtaking development.
Meanwhile, Go Se-yoon also made a desperate attempt to escape while being held captive. She managed to break through a steel door and get out of the room, but was caught again by a masked Noh Man-hee while trying to save another victim, plunging her into crisis. The tension of the drama was brought to its peak as Go Se-yoon was shown pleading with Noh Man-hee, who was threatening her with a hammer, saying, "Please, don't do this."
After the broadcast, viewers responded enthusiastically, praising Namkoong Min's immersive acting and Kim Dae-myung's overwhelming portrayal of madness.
Meanwhile, the fifth episode of 'The Completion of Marriage' will air on the 18th at 9:20 PM.
