Actor Yoon Tae-ha will take the stage in 'Bank Bang Lesson,' a representative play by Japanese playwright Takahashi Isao. The work will be performed at Daehangno's Takei Theater from July 22 to 26.
This comedy depicts the chaos that unfolds when poor theater actors are mistaken for bank robbers. It begins when two men carrying a pistol and a knife appear at a bank as part of a crime prevention drill. Takeshi, who witnesses the scene, and his girlfriend Junko mistake it for an actual bank robbery, triggering an unexpected chain of events.
Yoon Tae-ha plays the role of Takeshi, a central character who sparks the misunderstanding and escalates the incident.
Original author Takahashi Isao is scheduled to visit Korea to attend the performance. After founding the theater troupe Shoma in 1982, Takahashi has led Japan's small theater scene and has contributed to Korea-Japan theater exchange, including being the first to direct playwright Kim Gwang-lim's 'Come See Me' in Japan.
Yoon Tae-ha, represented by T&I Cultures, graduated from the Department of Theater and Film at Anyang Arts High School and the Department of Film at Konkuk University. He has built an extensive filmography spanning films such as 'Earthworm,' 'Microhabitat,' and 'The Queen of Crime Method,' as well as dramas including 'The Hunter with a Scalpel,' 'I Stole the Male Lead's First Night,' 'The Judge from Hell,' 'Boyhood,' 'Day and Night,' and 'Fly, Gaechon-yong.'
