Actress Noh Yoon-seo took on her first historical drama with the Netflix series 'Donggung,' leaving a strong impression on global audiences.

Released in its entirety on the 17th, the Netflix series 'Donggung' immediately topped Netflix's 'Today's Top 10 Series in South Korea' upon release, continuing its successful run.

In this work, Noh Yoon-seo plays the role of Saenggang, an inspector court lady who can hear the voices of ghosts. She drives the narrative at the center of the story as she investigates the curse surrounding the Crown Prince's palace and the secrets of the royal family.

From her first appearance, Noh Yoon-seo portrayed Saenggang's dignity and resolve with an upright posture and unwavering gaze. She naturally depicted the evolving relationship with Gu-cheon (played by Nam Joo-hyuk), who initially clash over everything but gradually come to understand and rely on each other. She also multidimensionally embodied the obsession and decisiveness driving Saenggang toward the truth.

In particular, she smoothly handled action scenes using a bow and sword, and dramatically conveyed the character's determination through intense performances, such as wiping blood across her face with her hand. In the latter half of the series, she heightened immersion by creating palpable tension, matching even the king's imposing presence without backing down.

Working within a world that blends fantasy and historical drama, Noh Yoon-seo has steadily built up restrained acting and character growth, earning praise for expanding her acting spectrum through this work.
