SK Square (402340) fell more than 12% on the 16th, dragged down by the impact of a massive selloff that swept the domestic stock market, slipping to the 1.2 million won level. Amid a broad contraction in market investment sentiment, a flood of sell orders centered on large-cap semiconductor stocks drove the share price down.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 16th, SK Square closed at 1,212,000 won, down 170,000 won (12.30%) from the previous trading day. Selling pressure widened from early in the session, pushing the intraday low below 1.2 million won, but the stock partially recovered its losses to close in the early 1.2 million won range. In the NextTrade (NXT) session held after the regular market close, it finished slightly higher at 1,217,000 won.
On the same day, the KOSPI also closed at 6,820.60, down 463.81 points (6.37%) from the previous trading day, signaling a sharp contraction in investor sentiment. Following the weak trend in top semiconductor-related stocks by market capitalization, SK Square was also unable to escape the market's downward pressure.
As a result, investors' attention is now focused on the first trading day of the new week following the Constitution Day holiday. Whether SK Square can defend the key support level of 1.2 million won and build momentum for a rebound has emerged as a key watchpoint for the market going forward.
