LG Display swung to a loss, recording an operating loss in its preliminary consolidated results for the second quarter of 2026.

According to the preliminary Q2 operating results disclosed on the 22nd, revenue stood at KRW 5,612.063 billion, with an operating loss of KRW 107.728 billion. These are preliminary figures that have not yet been audited by an external auditor.

■ Revenue: Up 1% Quarter-over-Quarter Q2 revenue of KRW 5,612.063 billion represents a 1% increase from the previous quarter (KRW 5,534.002 billion). It remained at a similar level (0%) compared to the same period last year (KRW 5,586.956 billion).

■ Operating Profit: Swings from Profit to Loss Operating profit turned from a profit of KRW 14.6719 billion in the first quarter to a loss of KRW 107.728 billion in the second quarter. However, compared to the operating loss of KRW 116.033 billion in the same period last year, the loss narrowed by 7%.

On a cumulative first-half basis, the company recorded an operating profit of KRW 3.8991 billion, swinging to profit from an operating loss of KRW 8.2569 billion in the first half of last year.

■ Net Loss: Improved Quarter-over-Quarter, but a Loss Year-over-Year Loss before income tax from continuing operations stood at KRW 459.142 billion, improving 12% compared to the previous quarter's loss of KRW 522.211 billion. However, this represented a swing to a loss compared to a profit of KRW 991.898 billion in the same period last year.

Net loss for the period was KRW 418.831 billion, down 27% from the previous quarter. Net loss attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 404.641 billion, a 29% decrease from the previous quarter. Both metrics, however, swung to losses compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the company plans to hold a conference call at 10:00 a.m. today to announce its Q2 2026 earnings, targeting domestic and foreign institutional investors, individual investors, analysts, and the media.
