The Wavve original series 'The Prosecutor's Office Proposal,' starring actress Park Si-woo, has successfully concluded amid explosive responses both domestically and internationally.
'The Prosecutor's Office Proposal' is a crime investigation drama in which investigator Lee Chae-ha (Park Si-woo) and prosecutor Joo Tae-sun (Kim Yun-sik) overcome their past wounds and uncover the truth behind a massive case. In the final episode, Lee Chae-ha was depicted sustaining serious injuries on a rooftop yet persisting to apprehend the suspect, ultimately clearing a false accusation that had lasted 15 years. Afterwards, at a sunset beach, Joo Tae-sun confessed his feelings to Lee Chae-ha, and Lee Chae-ha's ending monologue — 'I will gladly accept any misfortune as long as I am with you' — left a profound lingering impression.
Thanks to Park Si-woo's passionate performance, 'The Prosecutor's Office Proposal' ranked No. 1 in the Wavve drama category and placed 10th in TV and OTT drama buzzworthiness on Fundex for the fourth week of July. The series also demonstrated its prowess in the global market. It achieved No. 1 among Asian dramas on iQIYI in Europe and North America, topped various rankings in Vietnam, and reached No. 1 on real-time search trends on China's Xiaohongshu and Weibo. Furthermore, it claimed No. 1 in the StarFocus '2026 Fan Choice Couple' vote, standing out across numerous overseas charts.
Marking the series' conclusion, Park Si-woo shared her overwhelming emotions, saying, 'Receiving much more love than I expected, I am still dazed and it feels like a dream.' She went on to vow that she would not take the support she received for granted and would become an even more developing actress with a grateful heart. She particularly noted that among international fans' reactions, the comment that impressed her the most was: 'Unlike the gentle Lee Chae-ha in the drama, in real life you seem like a commanding CEO.'
Park Si-woo, who said she focused on simultaneously portraying inner wounds and outward strength when building the character of Lee Chae-ha, also discussed her on-screen chemistry with Kim Yun-sik. She revealed that she was initially intimidated by Kim Yun-sik's strong aura, but he comfortably guided her on set, allowing her to fully concentrate on her acting. She recalled that although laughter sometimes erupted during the filming of serious scenes, the two actors' ability to instantly immerse themselves the moment the camera rolled remained a memorable sight.
Finally, Park Si-woo expressed her gratitude to fans who cheered on Lee Chae-ha's sorrow and growth, saying, "'The Prosecutor's Office Proposal' is a work that will remain precious to me for a long time." Pledging to work hard to show an even better side of herself in the future, she is currently receiving activity proposals in various fields, including photo shoots and global fan meetings, following the success of this work, and is carefully reviewing her next project.
