SK Innovation announced on the 30th its provisional consolidated results for the second quarter of 2026. The company recorded revenue of KRW 29.1572 trillion and operating profit of KRW 3.4873 trillion.
Revenue increased 49.9% year-on-year and 20.0% quarter-on-quarter. Operating profit swung to the black from an operating loss of KRW 401.6 billion in the same period last year, representing a 61.3% increase compared to the previous quarter.
Profit before income tax from continuing operations stood at KRW 569.7 billion, turning profitable from a year-ago loss, but declining 59.2% compared to the previous quarter. Net income was KRW 73.5 billion, swinging to a profit year-on-year but plunging 91.8% quarter-on-quarter. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company amounted to KRW 215 billion, returning to profit year-on-year while dropping 77.7% from the previous quarter.
On a cumulative first-half basis, the company posted revenue of KRW 53.4482 trillion and operating profit of KRW 5.6495 trillion. Cumulative revenue rose 31.5% year-on-year, while cumulative operating profit swung to the black from an operating loss of KRW 432.3 billion in the same period last year. Cumulative profit before income tax from continuing operations, cumulative net income, and cumulative net income attributable to owners of the parent company all turned profitable compared to the same period last year.
SK Innovation plans to hold a Q2 2026 earnings presentation (conference call) for investors and analysts at 4:00 PM on the same day.
The company stated that these results are provisional consolidated figures prepared in accordance with Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) and are subject to change during the external auditor's review. The company also explained that, following a change in accounting presentation, other operating income has been included in revenue, and past financial figures have been retroactively adjusted under the same basis.
