The KBS 2TV Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'The Completion of Marriage' is captivating viewers by shedding light on the shocking past of a formidable 'villain couple,' Kim Dae-myung and Lee Sang-hee.
The eighth episode, which aired on the 26th, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 7.5% and a per-minute peak rating of 9.2% according to Nielsen Korea, breaking its own highest ratings.
In this episode, Kim Kyung-ae (Lee Sang-hee), who underwent surgery by Kang Tae-joo (Namgoong Min), added tension by appearing as if she knew the secret of Ko Dong-chan (Jang Kwang). In particular, the unexpected developments kept viewers on the edge of their seats, such as Noh Man-hee (Kim Dae-myung) committing murder and then threatening a neighborhood resident's granddaughter to check on Kim Kyung-ae's condition.
The production team introduced that Noh Man-hee and Kim Kyung-ae are accomplices who conspired together in kidnapping and murder, and that the background leading to their current situation is an important scene revealed in this broadcast. The team urged, 'Please check directly in this week's broadcast what happened in the two people's past.' They added, 'In the scenes where Kim Dae-myung and Lee Sang-hee appear together, the acting synergy of the two actors explodes,' and 'It will serve as a key clue in the drama that reveals the origins of the psychopath villain couple.'
In the released teaser video for the 10th episode (scheduled to air on August 2), Noh Man-hee and Kim Kyung-ae appear covered in blood, standing in the same posture in a dark forest, gazing into the distance. Despite the gruesome traces such as bloodstains on Noh Man-hee's shirt and neck and scars on Kim Kyung-ae's face, the two maintaining a calm demeanor without any agitation maximizes the psychological pressure.
Kim Dae-myung, who perfectly embodied Noh Man-hee's cruelty with a cold expression and sharp eyes, and Lee Sang-hee, who portrayed Kim Kyung-ae's unstable inner self with a mad gaze, delivered passionate performances that are fueling explosive curiosity about the two characters' secretive past.
Meanwhile, the ninth episode of 'The Completion of Marriage,' produced with the support of the Broadcasting Communication Development Fund, will air on August 1 at 9:20 PM.
