HD Hyundai Marine Engine has signed a marine engine supply contract worth approximately 47.5 billion KRW.

According to HD Hyundai Marine Engine on the 31st, the counterparty to this contract is China-based 'XIAMEN XMXYG SHIPBUILDING TRADING CO., LTD.' The exact contract amount is 47,549,382,720 KRW, which accounts for 11.8% of last year's consolidated revenue. The company added that this contract amount represents approximately 11.8% of its 2025 consolidated revenue (402,396,221,904 KRW).

The contract period runs from July 31, 2026, to August 23, 2029, with payments scheduled to be made in the form of an advance payment, interim payment, and final balance in accordance with the engine supply schedule.

Additionally, the company explained that the actual end-users (shipyards) for this contract are 'XMXYG Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd.' and 'Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd.' It also noted that the contract amount was calculated using the initial exchange rate on the contract date (1 USD = 1,441.1 KRW), and that the contract period may be subject to change depending on the vessel construction schedule of the counterparty shipyards.
